Die Schweiz gilt als unbestrittener Weltmeister in Sachen Innovation. Dies belegt die Rangliste des Global-Innovation-Index, welche bereits zum neunten Mal in Folge die Schweiz als innovativste Volkswirtschaft ausweist.
Sinnbildlich für Innovation steht auch das SIG Areal: Hier begannen 1853 Industriepioniere Eisenbahnwaggons im grossen Stil zu produzieren, obwohl in der Schweiz bis dahin nur wenige Kilometer Eisenbahnnetz existierten.
Switzerland is considered the undisputed world champion in terms of innovation. This is confirmed by the ranking of the Global Innovation Index, which for the ninth consecutive time has identified Switzerland as the most innovative economy. The SIG area is also symbolic of innovation: in 1853, industrial pioneers began to produce railway carriages on a grand scale, although only a few kilometers of railway network existed in Switzerland back then.
