In der Schweiz wird beinahe ausschliesslich eine kleinräumige bäuerliche Landwirtschaft betrieben. Dennoch wird 35.9% der gesamten Landesfläche landwirtschaftlich genutzt. Die Bauernbetriebe sind meist familiär strukturiert und nicht nur für die Selbstversorgung der Schweiz wichtig, sondern auch für die Erhaltung und Pflege der Landschaft.
In Switzerland, almost exclusively a small-scale peasant agriculture is operated. Nevertheless, 35.9% of the total land area is used for agriculture. The farms are mostly family-structured and not only important for the self-sufficiency of Switzerland, but also for the preservation and care of the landscape.
En Suisse, il n’existe pratiquement que des exploitations agricoles de petite taille. 35,9% de toute la superficie du pays est toutefois affectée à l’agriculture.
